Align with Northriver or Forge your own Path. (not enter if not want spoilers)

So im at this point on new expansion to eighter align with northriver or be their competition.

Question 1. do i get blueprints for the new ships if i choose to go my own path?
what are pros and cons here? the main diffrence?

Well i will myself try choose my own path, and get direct competition to Northriver, they try get me killed anway...


well in start of it this seems to need more credit and stronger ships that i have.. only first pay to get these bounty hunters off my back it cost 15mil, i have that easy enough but most of the starting space turned hostile...

to be clear that lizzard you save, now hate you if you side with VIG ..as you turn against the people of avarice.. .. you also have to start clean up loose ends with all the people you done missions with so fare... means kill most of em it seems ..enough for me to see this is not my path, so i load back when i go against the twins of VIG even that make it harder:)
