Split Story Line... whose side to take?!?
I'm having a hard time understanding whose side to take; Who are the Good Guys and the Bad Guys. I'm listening to Dal and Boso, but I'm having a hard time following who is who!

For the most part, I really want to know who are the Slavers... for me, they are the Bad Guys, so I want to support the other side... but again, I can't figure out who is who!

So.... without giving away too much; Can anyone point me in the right direction?!?

As a hint to where I'm at; I'm at the point where I can either Take Out a Cobra for the Funeral Guys... or go to the Patriarchy, and Tell of the Funeral Guys.

Advanced Thanx!!!

That whole story is shades of grey with no clear good guys. Both sides practice slavery and will continue practicing slavery no matter the choice at least from the human point of view. The Split Culture is quite alien in how it views people let alone non-Split.

From an outsider point of view seeing the servants of the Patriarch's has slaves, Zyarth is probably the best choice seeing as they will be treated slightly better. Siding with the Curbs will results in some slaves being freed, but the Curbs will continue using Slaves as well.

I like to create conflict between split, I usually help CURBs just to establish them and then I let them fight with ZYA and sell weapons and ships to both, you don't have to side if you don't want to...
let them fight it out and make some money.

Thanx mates... this is helpful(ish) (grin). But if they're both doing slaves... and the lines between Good and Bad are Blurred... then I guess I'll have to side with the UnderDog; which sounds like the CURB (I'm assuming those are the Funeral Guys), as I think Zyarth is the governing body.

But I don't profit on War... Well, actually I do; but it's never Intentional, it's just a Side-Effect from bring an Overly Righteous Do-Gooder!!! :).

I went the ZYA route myself.

There's always going to be conflict no matter which way you go. The curbs keep building stations as fast as I can blow them up. I kill them all then a few hours later they have everything setup again.

I gotta give EgoSoft credit... Life is rarely Black and White; and this whole storyline is right in line with that fact. As Luigi stated... massive shades of grey :(.

While the Curbs do seem to be the Underdogs... it's seems like Zyarth is only using slaves (for the most part) to weaken the Argon, but per Dal, if they were in a stronger position against the Argons, they 'May' back away from the Slave Trade... 'A Bit'. But then again... it (slavery) does seem to be a part of the Split lifestyle. So I'm kind of liking Bozz' idea of strengthening the Curbs, so they can fight it out with the Zyarths, and I can take some satisfaction in the fact they are killing each other (My Evil Side Peeking out (grin)); and the Curbs will be helping the Slaves Revolt to weaken the Zyarth (Good Ideas, even if it is for the Wrong Reason); however... the Curbs actually support Slavery... the Zyarth just use it as a tool. But now am I just arguing with myself over semantics?!?

When did this stop being a game, and become a Moral Dilemma?!? I really gotta get a Life!!!

Thoughts? Not on me needing to get a life... but on the whole Split situation :).

Yeah there's no real right or wrong. I went with Zyarth because he's the dominant patriarch and keeping him in power would uphold the normal Split way of life. I look at it like the curbs are the King's advisers that are plotting to overthrow him. They don't really know what it takes to run the empire, but they think they do. That's a dangerous situation for the Split.

And like you said both sides see no problems with slavery. It's just normal everyday stuff to them. So that really doesn't factor into it.
