I was in front of the Amplifier (Xenon sector/Yaki Secret Home) and instead of attacking it fled to Terran Secret Service and said, like you, "Yaki aren't organised, not a threat". Got a free Syn destroyer. And that was finished. Terrans happy.
Went back to Yaki Secret Home sector, the partner (from the Terran Cadet start) joined me again with his fleet of supporters and we destroyed the Amplifier. Yaki pissed off at the start of the attack but when it was destroyed, they came around. Flew to their base, talked with the leader and all resulted fine. Yaki happy.
The partner from the start also joins your fleet (5* pilot).
So I assume you have to move to the Yaki Secret Home now. Not sure if you were there already or it's next mission in front of you because Obelisk isn't the end.
EDIT: Or you really may think Amplifier = Obelisk. In that case, yes it's the end. You should come out with free Syn destroyer from Terrans and 9 lockboxes floating above Pirate Base. Speak with the representative of Yaki to gain that +20 reputation licence and with the leader (both at the Yaki base).
EDIT2: Basically, Terrans are happy Yaki aren't a threat and are satisfied with anti-pirate patrols. And Yaki aren't happy they can't expand in their sector due to Xenon threat which they can't control anymore (they're still ignored by Xenon by large thanks to their implants) but still happy they don't have to wage war with Terrans. The loyal partner is happy Yaki aren't threat to Terrans anymore but he knows he won't be accepted due to the implants Yaki got him so he's fine being with you.
Sorry for the late answer, but yes, I ment to say Amplifier when I wrote Obelisk.
I was just surprised that the Yakis still love me despite destroying the Amplifier. It seemed like there was some real moral grey area, where every option sucks, but this is like a perfect happy ending. Yaki are safe, the extremists are dead or suppressed, and the terrans like me as much as the Yaki.
I originally thought the implants only worked due to the amplifier; but apparently that just extended the range and power of the implants.
Tbh im almost a bit disappointed that there werent more harsh consequences. Otherwise by far the best plot yet!
