standard XL xen shield delay is supposed to be 20.7 seconds. It is 18 for its closest cousin the argon XL.

I and K share the same XL shields.
Except K shield delay is about 2 seconds at most.
I dont play v9 currently, but are you sure delay apply for XL shield ?
Also are you the weapons used during your observation have or have not a shield disruption effect ?

I wrote above '' is supposed to be '' because these infos come game files, and not from my own experience / tests.
Xenon shields work the same way than others factions.
In 9.0 their XL shield regen will be interrupted by heavier weapons (all L guns, most L turrets, and M guns)
All capital shields have 0s shield delay. Xenon capital ships use XL shields, which are a bit more powerful than L shields.

The latest weapon changes include weapons that stunlock shield regen, even on capital vessels. I'm generally not a fan of "on/off" mechanics like this, because they're very clunky balance levers that are difficult to manage. Okay, so now you only need one shield stun weapon on one single fighter, and it offers an effective damage boost equal to entire ship loadouts.

Yep. Permanent regeneration for L/XL-shields was supposed to be the saving grace for these ship classes since most of their shields are quite weak. I don't know if this is a good idea.

So Asgard is no longer immortal ship unless it kisses I, eh?
with permanent regen + weapons/turrets lowered damage, Shield regen should be more valuable, than initial shield strengh ... except weapons with ability to disrupt shields regen real influence isnt enough tested to know its role in the equation.

I always thought its XL main battery was stupid but its shield strength is somewhere around where I think it should be with these new shield regen stopping weapons. I just can't imagine an Oddy or even Rattlesnake to have any kind of survivability.
so without an L ship or bigger you can't deal with a K at all?

No as fighter can still take them down quite easily depending on loadout

You can’t take them down in under a minute anymore though as you can’t just spam torpedo/missile like before
i had 50 fighter on one of them with missile and big hitting weapon, the shield was recharging faster than i was doing damage

That doesn’t sound right at all as 50 is way more than enough to take out a K
What was the ship and weapon?
I think shield degen weapons ('de-regenerating') should work on tresholds, either needing to do a certain amount of damage before they stop regen, or being gradual. That way you need a bit more anti-regen equipment than just one gun on one fighter, at least for the L/XL ships.

With the caveat I don't know crap. Would that be good/bad/need improvement?
there is some vro scent floating around.
