expected price 4.99
Also the patch itself is big they even had outside talent help with it.
Just a guess.
Reasoning: anything more than that will cause the community to be real mad (which doesnt stop egosoft from doing things, but we will see xD), given that Kingdom End is 15 bucks in comparison, while bringing muuuuuch more than just a ship and a sector.
Furthermore: that puts the 2 ship DLCs (with the future one) at roughly the sasme price as a big DLC would have been, if they had done one this year.
That could be a reason for concern.
The expectation would be for Hyperion to cost less than Timelines. Half or 2/3rd of it, for example.
The soudntrack is for supporting the artist that makes the music, he makes awesome work.
guess that sets expectations: grab the lube, its gonna be rough.
EDIT: allthough, there was some inflation, and especially where alexei is from... things are not good xD
I'd phrase it this way: I should never play poker against Egosoft. ^^
Quoted to make sure we rub it in your face. Like others said it's the artist and the songs are actually much longer. Prob because of less new zone's, etc they created longer tracks in said zones (educated guess)

This is from hyperion OST page:
The way I see it, I have not seen any sort of legally binding clause indicating that money goes to the artist. I also don't know the contract details. A common deal for a freelance composer is one time pay. So, if it is published by Egosoft, money goes to Egosoft. Whether it goes to the composer after that, I don't know. Frankly, this shouldn't be my concern.
Supporting the composer directly would normally mean buying from HIS site, donating to his patreon or alternative service and so on.
