Any way to skip dialogue?
Doing the Boron quest line and the dialogue is even longer than before. Please tell me how to skip the dialogue.

You can't.

I was afraid so. Thanks for the answer.

The Boron is triggering my inner hate for Jar Jar Binks. It is kind of a silly thing, but it really is ruining the fun factor for me.

I'll probably just uninstall again, game is frustrating more than fun for me at this time and point.
The worst thing is when I ought to listen all these promotional speeches alike. If only humanity hadn't invented "Alt+Tab" I'd lose consciousness from boring.

[Shift]+[V] toggles sound.

I hear you, whats most frustrating is chaos is happening in my empire while the NPC's are explaining their whole life story. I lose ships since the AI is idiotic without me constantly baby sitting them. They need to either fix the AI so I can waste my time with long dialog or allow us to exit the dialog that we heard 1000 times before.

I use it for a trip to the Kitchen/Nature/Cat feeding/etc.

The ENTIRE main quest of the Boron DLC has less than 20 minutes of dialogue. That you only ever have to listen to once because custom start is a thing.

You're making a mountain out of a molehill.

It's a mole hill that was the final nail for me to uninstall the game.

It's funny how some people percieve time while playing video games? I mean it's not that long that they spend talking about the plots? If you haven't got enough patience to listen for a minute or two in a game where the average playthrough is hundreds of hours then yeah this game isn't for you lol.

I am a chef and my time is limited and sporadic. Flying around, building and trading is easy to save through. But this dialogue is just inconvenient. I also have been playing the X series probably before you got out of diapers, so I am bit of a fan.

If you are incapable of understanding that others have a life beyond a video game and asking for a little quality of life improvements in a game they enjoy so they can keep enjoying it, then maybe talking to other people is not for you.

Again, it's 20 minutes total in a dozens-of-hours expansion.

In a game where even reaching mid-game regularly takes 50-100 hours and games easily go into 1000 hours or more.

So the "life beyond a video game" argument really doesn't hold water here. If you can't spare the time for the dialogue you certainly can't spare the time to play X4.

I didn't come here to argue. If they added a skip dialogue feature, would it affect your game play at all? Is that why you are so against it? Or is it that your life so filled with so much negativity that you have to ♥♥♥♥ on a person who would like a simple feature added to make their day just a little bit better?

For real man, damn...

Fun fact: developer time is limited.
Every inconsequential, unimportant request like yours takes time away from other things that need attention, of which X4 has quite a few. So yes.

Also if you're going to argue i'd suggest actually making arguments instead of ad-hominem attacks. It usually works better than accusing people of being out to get you.

Because as it stands? You have no argument for why the change you want is necessary since X4 doesn't have large amounts of dialogue, only a few scattered soundbits in 1-2 minute chunks.

This all depends how big your empire is. In 20 seconds I could lose hours of work as ships are lost.
