Question about Timelines "Dark Room" missions
So, I'm new to the game and I opted to start by doing Timelines, to learn the game's systems better in a non-permanent place.

Anywho, I'm almost done, having finished all 6 graphs successfully, as well as all of the racing missions in the graph available in "the Dark Room". Now I have these 3 missions for "Escape from the Faulty Logic" left. I've done two of the 3, ultimate failure for both.

Google says succeeding at the later ones will make the early ones easier, so I'm not too worried about that, but I'm wondering specifically "Is there any real point"? None of the missions in the Dark Room indicate they actually unlock anything in the Sandbox game in their description. Just wondering if there are some 'hidden' unlocks, or maybe another mission that only unlocks once I'm successful enough in them?

I've found Timelines to be wildly varying in terms of difficulty, just wanting to know how much time I should invest in trying these missions over and over to actually get a decent rank (or even just...rank 1).

Here's a screenshot showing the missions I'm talking about (it's the last 3):

Also curious if that's ALL of the Dark Room missions or if I am missing some?

The Dark Room missions are unusual and at times experimental, so they were put in this optional mission terminal instead of in the main progression path. No Open Universe rewards are tied to them, and they're not required for finishing the Timelines story and unlocking the epilogue.

Awesome, thank you!

I wish I'd asked about it before I did all the racing ones... I really hate the racing missions. (Primarily because they reveal my own inadequacy at flying ships in the game...)

Don’t blame yourself; those racing ships are specially modified to be difficult to fly.
