dangerous region mission

Hi !
I'm playing X4 again to get back into the swing of things...
I am in the Boron mission when it is necessary to deploy navigation beacons in the dangerous region.. but nothing indicates where to place them.. I deployed 3 at random but it did nothing.
but where should they be placed?
an idea ? THANKS

In the same path you took to get in. It gives you a big sphere that you are to place the next one in, next to asteroids (red spot on map)

Something like that. The beacons turn blue once you complete the mission.

but I just tried again just now, I only have a search sphere traced in yellow, and inside 3 green navigation markers and a few mines that's all.
if it is in the center of the sphere that it must be placed, it is impossible
I tried to go but I get destroyed every time...

Do you see in the drawing how it follows the red hexes? You are to use nav beacons to draw that line. The gold circle is to show you the maximum distance you can be from your previous beacon.
When i do this, I use the map, and order my pilot to fly for me to each spot and drop the nav beacon.
Follow the red hexes and keep placing nav beacons inside the gold circle until you go all the way to the other side of the map.

I started the mission again (I collected the data from the 3 beacons from the assistant) but it's the same thing: he asks me to place beacons but we don't know where... I put some back a few random ones in the golden sphere but: nothing

Autopilot from the unlocked gate back to the gate you came into the sector. Place beacons on the way back in short steps. Should complete the mission.

I sent my rapier with a commander. I made it place navigation beacons in the center of the yellow sphere (it takes no damage) but nothing happens.

Sorry misunderstood based on earlier posts.

In the Void for that mission you need to place a Single beacon but only after you have found the others and the Paranid says 'you found the assistant'. Once you have the 'frequency' you need to use place the beacon in a hazardous region very close by. The glowing yellow asteroid area.

Once the assistant shows up you need to repair the hull before attempting to board the ship.
Caution if you are too far away from the ship airlock to airlock you may suffer damage and die from the hazardous region. What I used was the free Odysseus (no captain) so the ship does not move when leaving the airlock. Place the airlock of the Odysseus right next to the airlock of the 'assistant' to avoid damage since you are still in 'shield' protected space of the Odysseus. Can use another L+ ship but make sure the airlocks are really close or you may have to 'try' again.

lol is this the mission in the Void? That's a PIO mission, not Boron.

Long range scanner to find the nav beacons (they will flash purple) and once you've flown near them all and downloaded the data then you just have to fly a little bit into the hazard region, drop a nav beacon and the Geo Owl (the ship you're looking for) will appear.

I will warn you that the next step in this mission is a lot more difficult lol.

that's what I've been trying to explain since the beginning of this post: I stole the 3 beacons and I placed a beacon in the toxic cloud but I don't receive the message "you found the 'wizard' and the ship does not appear. that's all.so I'm stuck.

To be fair you were sending mixed messeges here,
there is one "Dangerous hazzard beacon" mission for BOR and one for PIO.

So you are doing the "Torus- Plot" (PIO) uuuuh its been a while and i tend to rush those plots but...
After scaning the 3 Beacons, you need to deploy a few beacons yourself to find the ship you are looking for.
After deploying one close by your Target... uuuh i dont remember if it was "Automatic" or if you had to do a Long-range-scan....
So if you dont get a marker on the ship you are looking for, try Long-range-scan.

Like i said i tend to rush plots and last time this part was a 5 min in-out thing...
I could go on for a while about how annoying navigating the torus is with the new engine (and if you "forgot" the owl has wings ) but this part of the quest where ur atm was always just "listen to dialogue and do what been told"

if it is the (boron) mission I think it is, you have to link both gates with beacons, so you have to go through the safe region, dropping a trail of beacon breadcrumbs that link (eventually) with the other gate.
It is a pain.
