Modding question
Hi guys,

Great game with great range of mods.

I have used VRO, fire and Smoke the ship pack and I am about 30 hours in.

The Xenon are not doing much except for the occasional destroyer roaming into system.

I have seen a few mods which buff the Xenon to make them more aggressive by way of "creating jobs" so they build more and roam more.

Question is, if I use such mods, can I switch them on and off at will via the extension menu in game?

IE can I have the XENON pick up their game a bit by said mod but if it gets to where they're steam rolling all the systems, turn the mod off to have them calm it down?

I'd also like to try a pirate mod which does same as above as Pirates are rarely seen and I want a real threat to my traders.

What I am looking for is a really dangerous space where I actively have to ensure the safety of my AI ships and also loan a hand to the factions if they have a massive attack.

Appreciate any input or suggestions :)

Seeds and mods can change that, however

Most mods will mention if you can run a mod or remove a mod midgame so for each mod you need to see if that is mentioned.

Also alot of the mods may not have been updated post 6.0 due to some changes 6.0 had. So it may slim down what your planning on adding.

Your idea sounds fun!

If you want a major challenge this is one of my favorite mods, currently in betas on Nexus.
