Abandoned ships

Hope was typed it right... BUT abandoned ships? Is it some random thinks or are they locked per sectors. Like can i get a whole fleet (for example) by finding abandoned. NOPE i dont need cords and place names =D Just can i or not? )))

abandoned ships can happen through the story (fixed position in sector) or when a pilot bails during an attack. this only counts for s and m ships.

A whole fleet? Well what size are we defining a fleet as?

There are a certain number of pre-placed abandoned ships that are present in the game. Then there are abandoned ships from the pilots bailing.

Referring to only pre-placed ships it's hard to argue there's enough for a fleet. Maybe a small strike force but definitely nothing that can engage in giant fights by itself.

The game has some 7 or so abandoned ships you can find in some sectors. They are always in those sectors but their exact position in those sectors may be random in some cases.

The best one you can get is a Destroyer.

Oh yes it is possible... but don't complain if the original real Player will hold grudges against you if you decide to go through with that Plan.

There are 5 ships that I know of at the start of the game that are 'special' unknown origin paint mod ships. The ships are always at the same location with a new save but not always equipped fully. The Odysseus is in a risky place to get to usually with Xenon early in the game but Hop clears it after a few game days. You can go pick it up and dodge the mines. Better if you take ownership then teleport out letting a pilot bring it back out.
I usually grab it early for excitement and fly it out myself :)

Between all the mods I have I have somewhere around 20 or so abandoned ships with a good half of them being L (with one abandoned Asgard for good measure, sadly with no main gun so I cannot upgrade it outside of Earth).
