Miners not mining with ore in the system.
I have a station in Rolk's Demise producing Hull Parts.
There are enough Asteroids with ore i see in the System but my miners all state "no ressources found in allowed sectors".

I dont have any blacklist or whatsoever.... ? Can anyone explain this issue to mo?

No Ore left in Sectors
Hello Friends,

quick question, i have now several Sectors (e.g. Rolk's Demise) where the Ore is listed with 1,828M but my miners (from one station) dont find anymore.

Does the Ore get refreshed sometime or how does this work?

Yes, the ore should respawn, but i have no idea how long it takes.

Yeah there's some form of respawn mechanic for each sector so they'll never run out. But they can be pushed too much so that it's the maximum amount you can get from an area. There's an online table that apparently details the max output a sector can give (spoilers of course), not sure how accurate it is but may help. https://www.qsna.eu/x4/resources/

Thank you for the link, good insight. <3
Maybe i just have to wait till the repawn kicks in since Rolk's Demise should have enough respawning.

Rolks is the borons mainzone for mining, prettymuch all of their economy gets drwan from there, so its totally possible to "overfarm" this area

I've checked the system and there is a lot of ore left which i could mine manually but my miners keep refusing it with "no ressources found in allowed sectors"

To make Miners work propperly you need to be OOS/Out of System.
If you sit in the same system your miners are supposed to mine, they just refuse to work.

You also need to make a buy offer in your station overlay for the required minerals.
Ideally you make a traderule "only me" so you only "buy" from your own miner.

Lastly make sure your miner have Miningtools/drones. Minimal config loves to spawn Miner wich cant mine...

The miners all have the correct loadout and i am 99% OOS. The weird thing is they mined OK yesterday but now stopped with this cryptic issue where suddenly no resources are found in the allowed sectors which makes me wonder

Cancel their order and re-issue it. If that doesn't work then it may be something your end? You have storage?
Donauwelle May 14, 2023 @ 4:00am
Its actually possible for a sector to run out of ress,
there is a respawn system wich refills them, but considering your talking about rolks...
Wich is where like 99% of boron industry gets mined...
Totally possible.
Fly in the secotor use shortrange scan and look arround a bit,
if no ress (the one your looking for, Sil can run out while still lots of iron arround)
then your miners cant mine aswell...

What else do we have...
Did you checked storage on station btw? Have nuff/Correct modules?
MB try un-assigning the miners from the station and reassign them while beeing OOS...

Unfortunately there can be any number of reasons for the problem.

1. Have you checked yields in the asteroid field you miners are supposed to be mining (i.e. have you dropped probes)?

2. Post screen shots of your station's logical view and one of your miner's behaviour tab.

Check the encyclopedia for that sector also. Look to see what the encyclopedia lists as the total resource for that sector. Another thing to check is your resource probe and what it shows the density as. Those bars actually adjust based off of the resources in their local area.

EDIT: Was it really necessary to create a 2nd thread on the same topic within 30 minutes of your last one? Please merge them.

Do you have a station you are mining from in that sector, or are you using a station from another sector or set the miners to sell automatically?

If it's either of the latter, you should check your blacklist to make sure your not blocking a system thats stops them moving between the two sectors (or if they are blacklisted from an hazardous region)

Yes it was, for the time being it was a seperate issue regarding the respawnrate and / or behaviour of the mining vessels itself.

It`s still bugged in Rolk's Demise, placed resources satellites and they fly to a satellite not placed by me where no rocks are...
