Stuck Activating vital bofu mission

I'm doing the "Queen's Herald" start and I've been tasked to open the mission manager and activate the vital bofu mission, except there are no options to do that. I've clicked everything that's highlighted to get to it but when I see it on the expanded menu I can only deactivate the Queen's herald mission. No combination of activating or deactivating gets the mission to continue. What's the issue?

Just need to buy the 'special' priced bofu and 'sell' it at the HQ.

Yeah no, this wasn't the issue I was describing.

The issue was that the mission manager has the mission minimized by default and you have to click the little + sign on the left to even see the bofu mission.

Did you by chance 'accept' the mission or dismiss it when Boso video calls you about it?
I wonder if you complete the quest by buying the bofu and delivering it if it will autocomplete. As it is not really part of the mission chain from the Queen.

The 'mission' if you want to call it that was pre-empted by Boso since he is really really wanting 'fresh bofu'. In the original scripted version of obtaining the PHQ he has a line of dialog hoping for fresh delivery of bofu at your initial meeting in person.

There is a bofu source right after you leave the sector the Queen's Ship is in. Right near the highway you may have an exclamation there where you can 'activate' the mission perhaps?

I could not accept the mission because there was no way to see it as it was a submission and the game had this information minimized by default.

This is how it should look in the log, If you have not 'heard' from Boso then
speak to the other heralds in the conference room maybe? or once you have control of the ship Boso may contact you to tell you where to go.

In this particular start I was sent to Great Reef, In another I was directed to Reflected Stars. I guess a different seed maybe more difficult this time dealing with Sanctuary of Darkness perhaps.

I have this same issue. The text of the mission briefing is different than the You tube videos of it posted two months ago. There is a requirement to “open your mission briefing,” but then when you do, nothing happens and you can’t advance the quest. Just stuck. Any ideas?
