I've been complaining about this, in one of my games teladi trade station had it's build storage right in front of the entrance which made it hard for the AI ships to properly dock
hope they fix this in the next version of the game.

if they cant fix the countless issues in x4 what makes you sure they wont drag them (and other mind boggling "features") into the next version?

zeigt mal nen bisschen initiative und nicht nur geldgier. verschiebt das nächste payed addon und kümmert euch um die unzähligen ecken und kanten dieses spiels.
baulager ist nicht das einzige was nicht nur mir aufn keks geht.
ich könnte hier ne liste schreiben von nicht funktionierenden dingen angefangen bei sektor patroulien die den befehl als eher als urlaubsreise durch den sektor sehen anstatt wirklich mal entdeckte feinde anzugreifen.
über ui bugs im stationsbaumenu
hin zu xenon stationsbau die ohne scout/aufklärung ne station (baulager) inmitten 100 zerstörer bauen dürfen.

“Build Storage” is completely separate from the station itself. It’s like a mini station that sits next to the main station to serve as a depot for construction materials used in building the main station. So far players can’t actually do anything to it directly, except the shoot the storage cells that spawn when it has something in it.
account for it, How? at the first construction start it appears at a random place, cant even choose a spot for it.
mine is located at around x -10,y 0, x 0, nearly exactly middle of the plotside and build
yes that is the building storage.. a rather inconvinient place.

Now, enemy build storage can be destroyed *after* the station is destroyed. I'm not sure of the mechanics. With some it is almost as if you look at it and it will be destroyed. Others.... I have one now that is holding up well to an Asgard main battery.
*Update* After some reading and testing, here is how it works. As of Beta 7, they changed much about build storage. The short story that matters is that BS is invulnerable until all current crates and all blasted out crates are gone,*and* there are no incoming ships to add or remove crates.
If you destroy an enemy station you can attack BS. To get rid of it, blast all crates out and either destroy them, collect them, or let them fade away. You might want to take steps to be sure no hostiles restock it. But if a friendly comes, things get difficult. You get to restart the process. But once all conditions are met, the BS will disappear after a short time, on its own.
