They use different mechanics to mine
If it an L do have have mining drone to pick up loot?
The REASON I am here watching it is because i send it out to mine silicon full bars and it flies around getting nothing, or maybe 2/3 before quitting and giving up.
This is an acceptable bug? It doesn't work if I am there?
No I say it is an unacceptable bug.
In sector mining mine the empty asteroid to.
So I recommend a sector without tons of dead asteroid if your gonna watch them
There are several things at play here. First, lower star rating captains will take longer to find a source to mine, likewise to find trades. In fact they do everything slower. Same with service crew. Second, just because you're looking at an asteroid doesn't mean that one is the motherlode or that it is even the one you captain will choose to mine. Remember, this game gets very complex very quickly, most of this stuff is meant to be passive and looks kind weird if you look directly at it. Lastly, let's make sure your miner is set up correctly. Post a screen shots of your ship's behavior tab.
The problem was that he was mining and watching In a sector (argon prime) that has tons of dud asteroid and very bad yields
IS mining mechanic does not do well in sector like these
Especially if it Argon prime or Second contact
Tons of Colored asteroid = good
Blue for silicon
While no color asteroid like in Argon Prime and Second Contact flashpoint = bad
It was in argon prime I was having problems and hickvah's choice and it is mostly dead roids.
I will try watching in a more densely packed area. Thanks
Well I think it's frustrating as hell, and me mining a roid and no result in hold IS a bug and I don't care how few roids are in the zone. This IS a bug if it works in zones with more resources.
I don't call every problem a bug. What other problem do you see here? But trying to figure out why my newbie miner pilot can't get 10k worth of materials without an intervention only to go do it manually and it doesn't even work at all because it's BUGGED is a bloody drag.
Thanks for your input though. I do try to figure things out and I know my people are going to suck, but they need to at least be competent and not tripping while flying around aimlessly when they should be at work.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to helping me figure this out too!
