Diplomacy
I know the player will be abel to affect relations between factions - but will factions do anything without player input?
Will there be anything dyanmic in faction relationships? Or will the overall universe still feel dead because nothing can change wihout the allmighty players direct input?

We have no idea about anything except the ambiguous 'diplomacy' claim, and that we will get a new HQ module.

Dont dream about good stuff with egosoft, they still cannot fix cargo drones behavior or make ai ships not undock and stay near station when they cant find destination for trade by adding almost 15 strings in this script in game. Remember Yaki faction? You know, they exist, at game begining and after that they extinct, because they not have anything. Or look at xenons, they tortured by egosoft soo badly that they cannot survive alone.

yeah, i remember people complain on how OP the xenon were a couple of years back, now there are people complain how insignificant they are, which is true.

I had hoped egosoft would just place a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slider you know? So people could make their games harder if they so wished. Now , i can't play this game without kuertee scripts , or Reemergence and buff that xenon to max settings.

I doubt it, on dynamic relations. It'll be done via the agents you send off on missions, with chances to influence faction relations between each other now and then, going by what the Egosoft forum post with roadmap said about it.

They don't like to rock the boat with people's saves regarding threats or war. So dynamic relations without mods probably not be a thing without mods.

I used to be a big defender of X4 and Egosoft, but I must confess that I'm starting to lose faith in them since these last couple of updates. The game has been getting worse for me over time rather than better, and if this trajectory continues, then I don't have much hope for the diplomacy update.

Thankfully I have my own way to use diplomacy - by editing my save file to dynamically adjust the relationships of various factions with each other, which makes the galaxy a lot more interesting. There's also a mod that lets you do this on the fly, which might be just what the OP is looking for.

They haven’t managed to balance the factions properly even after seven years, so I doubt they’ll do any better with diplomacy. My guess is it’ll be something similar to the system in X3FL.

Probably what Egosoft is going to do tbh, with some station module locked behind some stupid ass mining quest.
