How to find security containers?

I´m still trying to get my first few 100k.
Took a mission to find and pick up 2 security containers.
flew to the region and did some long range scans.
There are yellow circles but far outside the region.
inside the region there is nothing to find.
Did i get something wrong?

depending on the physical size of the search area your mission to actually find the containers can vary.

best advise i can give, keep LRS pinging into all directions in that bubble and follow any leads.
you will find the containers sooner or later.

This game really makes it super hard to get in.
The turtorial explain a lot on how to do things but not what to do.
I´m flying around for more than 10 hours now and can hardly find missions I can do.
got a transportation mission but the passenger told me he can´t get on my ship.
Can ´t find containers.
My automated scout won´t follow his orders but manually laid paths.
Only thing I can do is some very low sacle trading in my figther.

They can be tricky to find. You shouldn't ignore those gold ones either. If it's for a mission it should ping purple. What I do is get roghly in the centre of the bubble, LRS loads of times while doing a 360 until I get the hit I want and it should be purple.

Just forget about that for a minute and go chase those gold pings. There will be a nice lockbox somewhere with loads of locks. Now you don't always get what you want from them lol, but what you do get is normally hard to find anywhere else. Things like delirium and other exotic wares. Seminars and sometimes credits. Anyway point is you need to learn how to find them so practice on them and doing them will remove them from your future LRS so it should be easier to find what you need as well.

Those gold lockboxes normally have about 10 locks on them. It's easy if you do it in your spacesuit.

Sometimes the containers are easy to find and close to the middle, sometimes they are very hard to find, Yesterday I have only found one and then had to search for 20 minutes to find the second.

If you fly to Antigone Memorial or Ianamus Zura you can join the trade guilds of the ANT or TEL they will give many missions. Most of them pretty easy.
