Can't lower selling prices on my station
I'm probably missing something here but I cannot figure it out myself, so any assistance with the following issue would be greatly appreciated:

I have built my very first own station with a couple of storages (for ore and containers) and some production facilities (energy cells, refined metal). I assigned some miners and some trading ships.

Now I want to sell the additional ore as well as the produced wares on my station. But nobody is coming to buy, and the storages are slowly filling up.

I guess the problem is that my prices are too high. But for some reason I cannot lower the prices below a certain threshold.

For example: In the Logical Overview, I cannot lower the selling price for my ore below 43 Cr. I can neither type in a value below 43, nor can I drag the slide further to the left. For some reason 43 Cr is the minimum. I have no idea where this threshold comes from. When I set it to "Automatic pricing", it's higher (around 46 Cr).

I wouldn't mind selling my ore for much less (e.g. 35 or 30 Cr) to free up my storage and at least make some profit. But I simply don't know how to do that.

The same applies to all other wares on my station as well: each one seems to have their individual minimum price that I can't lower.

The limit is fixed for all practical purposes. Also it is different for different goods, can can be +-15...30% from average. For ore it is +-15%.

the Factions will never buy mined goods like Gas and Ores, you have to assign a Mining Ship to the Trade Group in order to sell off excess.

you will also need to know who will be needing your Wares, so you must have at least a Satellite or Ship covering potential Customers or you have bought the Trade Subscription that is available at Faction Reputation 20 from a Faction Representative.

Regarding Prices;
every ware has a fixed lowest and highest Price you can not go below or above, there is a Faction discount / commission however that will allow you to sell and buy Wares for below/above the min/max Price regardless.

This is however only viewable and usable by you, neither your Managers nor your Captains will take it into account despite you reaping the rewards if it is applied.

i don't think AI ever uses miners for trade (and normal container traders can't transport ore),

if you want to sell ore, i think you have to assign some mining ships as traders to the station so the manager uses them to sell ore at NPC refineries.

Thanks a lot guys for the great advice. That was very helpful and explains why my station is not working properly. I guess I know what to do now.

AI doesn't ever use miners for trade. To sell ores, one would need to use own miners to deliver it. On the flip side, it can be fairly profitable.

Sorry but I have another quick question regarding this statement:

I just checked the Logical Overview of my station and noticed this:

Apparently, three NPC Boron ships are on their way to my station to buy some Methane. I thought NPCs wouldn't buy those mined goods from me? Have I misunderstood the above statement?

Thats interesting... is this an unmodified Save or are there any Mods that are not mentioned at Play?

since 7.5 I noticed that npcs will buy gas/solids from your stations as well, no mods.
yaaaay

Nothing about this change in the patch news. Can anyone confirm that NPC buy minerals and gasses in an unmodified save? It could have something to do with the change of them adding miners as station subordninates in the last patch.

minerals and gasses have been sold in my game and i was like whaaaaat? oooooooh!

What i don't get though is how 1 helium miner and 1 methane miner can manage their resources but 10 miners can't manage 3 minerals between themselves.

I don't use any mods. But I have all DLCs installed (except the latest Hyperion DLC).

The statement used to be true for past versions of the game. If NPCs are buying gas and ores from you now, then, enjoy. One less headache.

very interesting indeed, i haven't had the pleasure of Solid or Liquid Traders visiting my Mining Stations yet...

must be some undocumented change because i can't find it either.

It's not happening in my fresh 7.5 save.
