Nasty Infestation mission fail wth!

So I accepted a lucrative 'nasty infestation mission' for the paranid, went to the location in my new hyperion and spent over an hour dismantling the entire khaak thing. 12mil payout, was there from 95% hull on the main building, personally destroyed 4 plus defensive positions, was pounding away on the building 0% hull, mission failed. WTF!!!!

Had a similar situation with a Xenon station. Another faction also had some destroyers there. Mission failed. :)

No idea what counts for the mission: The one with the last shot, amount of destroyed modules and surface elements or the overall inflicted damage?

Anyway, you don't want to do these missions personally. Pretty boring if you're not in an Asgard. Better have several destroyers and order them to destroy the station.
Save before the station gets destroyed and hope you don't have to reload several times. x)

My bet on last shot. This is how I collect bounty from xenon K early game. Just ratting around nearly dead enemy.
