You're going to need to tinker a bit with visual settings, but the good news is, your cpu is plenty capable enough. Also, if the game does run extremely poorly on that GPU, you can always refund the game if you have less than a couple hours a playtime.

The main issue would be the CPU, laptop models are less powerful than normal versions and this game is very CPU-hungry because of the simulations. This is a problem that scales with the dlc's because of the new sectors and factions, so if you wish to give it a try I'd suggest the base game first.

humor me but the listed specs are capable to run X4.

matter of fact... the specs read shockingly similar to the laptop i call me own that was supposed to serve as a vacation replacement (wich i used once).

I've a "comparable" Thinkpad P15 as mobile workstation (for my job) - and it has a A2000 (6 GB) and I've 32 GB RAM. Your CPU is a tad newer (Q1'22 vs Q2'21) but I'd say it's not much of a difference.

While I can run X4 when being on business trips it is no joy. Fans are running non-stop and heat is building up nevertheless fast. Without an external keyboard + mouse you need asbestos gloves very soon. If not going nuts player asset wise one can play though. If there is really no other hardware close by...

Have you tried a good supplemental fan? A Tray with a couple of near silent fans will ensure proper airflow and allow the internal fans to present cooler air than if they are working on their own. That can also reduce the noise of the internal fans.

However, it is important to remember laptops are to the best of my knowledge never actually designed for use at an angle and that can mean heat flows upward so go for a fan system that is almost flat for the best supportive airflow.. If you are worried about increased battery drain on your laptop you can usually power the extra tray from a secondary power supply although you might need one with two output sockets as the more efficient laptop trays need two USB power inputs. I once used a laptop bag designed like a clam-shell that allowed me to connect the power supply into one compartment while the laptop and tray were together in the main one. Quite easy to transport.

As I do business trips by bike and by train I've to pack very lightly. So no unessecary weight & no specialised bags. For me, laptops are simply not made for gaming - especially not for those with heavy computing tasks.

Depends what you mean by reasonable. Late game with a lot going on I'm in the 30fps range more often than not on my 5800x(desktop). If you like dog fighting then you'll want to avoid doing it in sectors where you have carriers with over 50 subordinates. But if you're commanding destroyers then the lower frame rate isn't as noticeable because the combat is much slower.

It should work just fine but you'll have to choose your engagements and your fleet composition based on what your system can handle.
