Anyone excited about the Hyperion?
can't say I care for the ship back in X3 but then I need to replay it and get it again to make a final opinion on it.. but I do like the concept of a light cruiser type L ship (that and for any new ships in the game). hope the AP Gunner is next.. but mostly the AI might need to be overhauled a bit before I can Trust bots to pilot the Hyperion or any specialty ships

Yeah I am. Any new dlc fr this game gets me stoked. Technically the ship should be outdated? Be interesting to see what it's like. :)
Of course. I can’t wait to take this sleek ship into battle against my enemies. In a troublesome double-digit frame rate ...

Haha yes we all eventually have to lower our settings. Jesus Christ my HQ is so big that even my mighty 4070 ti struggles in 4k. I'm ok in 2k for now. Still looks better than Babylon 5.

Nope.

It is a ship with a continuous interior. That is cool and a good thing. "Excited", though? As in ready to jump with joy? No. I'll buy it unless it is insane price and that's the extent of it.

I'm thinking £5.99. I ain't got a problem if it's slightly more. The cost of living crisis has made everything more expensive. A decent, big cooked breakfast was always £6 here in blighty. Now it's £10. That's the crisis. A pint used to be £3. Now it's more than double.

It can't be more than £7.99.
The question is how many can you have? In a custom new game{non modified} you can get 2 erlkings. I wonder if it is similar with this ship. Would be annoying to start over to be able to get a 2nd one.

I'm waiting for the price tag to decide my stance. Typically, for $15, players get 10+ ships, station modules for a new faction, and two main story plots. But this year, we've only seen two mini DLCs, so I really hope it’s not just two ships and two mini plots for the same price.

I'll still but the DLC even if it is a Mini because I want the Dev to keep develop the game more even if it is a Single ship release. as for how many we might get of this.. I assume we can only get 1 Hyperion like the Erlking or the Xperimental Shuttle. while we might get blueprints for it but we would be limited to 1 and I'm ok with that

The Hyperion was extremly overpowered in X3. It is an M class with destroyer guns/flak. A very quick M class as well. Be interesting to see how they present this. It is outdated tech. But it was ahead of its time. Technically it should be nearly on a par with a Hydra. But I bet it's better than that.

The mission to get it should be hard. If I'm not cursing you devs then I won't be happy!

It has long been answered by the Devs that one can build and buy as many Hyperion's as one needs.

Na ... more interested in the 7.5 update really. If people like the ships capabilities, then maybe.
I'd rather have them fix the broken physics, AI and horrible UI of this game.. But yeah I know, that doesn't directly bring in money.. But hey, might actually create some goodwill for a change.

I doubt it - people who have reached that kind of mindset are rarely happy. I'm observing this since the release of X4. The principle behind this is that no matter what the devs do, hand out for free or create anew - it is never enough. A few minutes of joy (if any), then the next demands flood the zone. And there are also those different perceptions - for some e.g. a "fixed" AI is neither the priority nor does the level of "fixing" match their expectations.

tl;dr: keep going Egosoft, I'm looking forward to the Hyperion.
I have bad expectations for Hyperion as a player ship cuz of L size. So may main concern is new sector and cargo size to potentially use it instead of Barbarossa. I personally dislike using missiles myself or in the fleet, so increased capacity doesn't inspire me.
Its the first time I'm unsure in buying in advance, even Timelines didn't bring that feeling.
