Tip at least get teleport 1 research done before doing this one.
Multiple switches where one also flips two others. Often there's one switch that flips only one switch and not two, and that's usually the way you solve it. Learn the connections, try to set state in such way that you can set three switches at one into desired state.
It's setup a lot like similar puzzles in other games, as @Doom said, it just didn't occur to me at first to revisit previously flipped switches. What's funny is that is also a mechanic in the final puzzle, and when you get to that it actually gives you that advice...I could have used the advise sooner. LOL
I think I parked the Owl too centrally and was less willing to use the suit thrusters. I just returned to the owl regularly to top up the tanks. Instuctions to the fleet needed to be done from the suit rather than the ship due to the camouflage.
