Another thing to possibly consider, are the AI factions using your wharf as well? If you look at the Logical Overview, at the very end where the ship production is, if you expand the item to look at the details, it should list any ships currently in production regardless of faction. If the AI factions are using your wharf, their ships are likely ahead of yours in the queue.
I have 8 large storage of each type maxxed out with resources. There are no ships at all being built, even from the AI. When I build my ship, it doesnt say anything about being short on any resource.
Maybe one of the veterans of the game will have ideas?
Oh? That sounds like maybe you built a Ship Maintenance module rather than a Fabrication one. I'm not entirely sure though, as I pointedly did not buy a maintenance module blueprint, only the fabrication one.
It might help if you could post some screenshots of your logistical overview. All of it. I suspect the answers lies in there.
My guess would be lack of building drones as well. You need 80 for a S/M fabrication bay (and 800 workforce) to build ships at full speed.
