Just got my 1st 5 star pilot .
Well, I managed to get a 3 full star pilot from the Boron quest. I'd prefer it to be human, but whatever.

He, she, it is my lead pilot on my H which I'd been using for some time. Then when talking to it I noticed I could give it a 4 star Seminar (hmm that's new), then I saw I could give it ANOTHER Seminar on top... That was definitely new to me.

Boom- 5 Star pilot! A first ever!

So I shoved it onto my Freighter to autotrade and also assigned a couple of fighter escorts cos I do NOT want to lose this pilot! I might still put it back on my H though cos it's the safest place.

lol. I wouldn't normally post on such a trivia, but there were times it felt like such a feat was impossible.

Still not as capable as me though. Shouldn't Human Players be 6 Star qualified?
Finding 4 star training books is quite time intensive. Training one to 5 stars via gate camp is the fastest way to level up your pilot to 15/15 (5 star). If you haven't yet, look into terraforming and the training schools for pilots. It should be a challenging and rewarding experience for you if you've haven't done it yet. There are some tricks to quickly improve moral of your future pilots too. It would save some time to train highest moral employees to be your pilots. I like for my 5 star maintenance peeps to "graduate" into pilot school. Especially those who have been rescued.

Training schools? I will have to check it out. I haven't got round to terra-forming, seems boring. Thanks.

You'll be training pilots by the hundred in no time. :)

Terraforming will give you hundreds of 5 star pilots and marines. It's worth doing and to get the schools to train them is very quick and easy to build and you only need to build them (a maze and a gym) and some bubble housing which is the cheapest and quickest housing. You can ignore the rest of terraforming if you like. Once built you also get competitions from the maze and gym which you can activate and these will give you one 5 star pilot/marine and two 4-5 star. So basically 3 very good pilots/marines. This has a 9 hour cooldown I think? And costs a fair bit of Nividium.

Another option is do the Yaki plot. You get a few high seminars and a 5 star pilot once complete. Big old plot that is lol. Need some serious firepower.

Ok. thanks.

And wouldn't you know it! As soon as I put my Boron alien onto a Freighter it gets attacked by a Pirate... However, when I told the Boron, "FLEE, YOU FOOL!" It did get out of there pretty sharpish.
