The game stores saves in OneDrive folder
Is it possibly to change location for saved games? The game saves them to OneDrive/Documents/Egosoft/x4 and it is very annoyng.

That's a Windows thing - you have to tell your OS to let your games alone, not the other way around. My advice? Get rid of OneDrive.

Isn't there a way to tell Windows to put your Documents folder in a different place? That's awfully drastic, though. What's wrong with having OneDrive back the files up?

In the case of X4, it is because the save files can get very large & so eat alot of OneDrive memory, requiring you to extend the OneDrive memory to use it for more applications (which costs money)

It's installed by default with new windows intallations so most people will probaply have it installed some even without knowing what it is.

I never installed One Drive

You have no idea how many of my customers have said so over the years. "My computer says my disk is full" with 300GB free on the disk. Turns out it's OneDrive that's full, which is installed by default and copies everything in the documents folder.

Unless you uninstalled it, you have it running on your computer.

Edit: Fortunately you can still uninstall it, unlike so much of the other bloat in windows.

First thing I did on a new install of Windows is delete One Dtive. if it pops back up delete it again, and again. Don't let Windows control you, you control it. just like others say, get rid of it.

There is, but One Drive folder will be likely moved into new location.

Theres lots of ways to get around this and it's not X4's fault that you allowed OneDrive to reproduce your Documents folder.
