can't sell ship even if i selected ship and right click the shipyard or wharf
I claim a ship and I wanted to sell it, however I just can not sell my first/second ship neither.
I searched internet and wiki and everyone said [you can sell ship, by right cliking shipyard/wharf while you select your ship to sell], but this does not give me the sell option.
The commens are way too old(like 2018), we no longer have options to sell ships?

Yes you can still sell ships.

To be clear the process is:
-open your map
-select the ship or ships to sell
-right click a wharf/shipyard that you have enough rep to trade with (ships sell to the same kind of facility that would build them)
-select sell ship option

Thank you for your swift response.
Hmm... so selling fighter ship requires at least 20 reputation in general?
And, we can't sell xenon's ship without mod that enables it? (since we will never be able to build a relationship with them)

You can only sell M/S ships to a wharf and L/XL ships to a shipyard.

You only need neutral rep or higher ( > -10)

No, it only requires enough rep to trade at all. If you could land on it, you can sell to it.

You don't need to sell Xenon ships to Xenon, or Teladi to Teladi and so on. Ship availability is controlled by blueprints, which doesn't matter here.

Mechanically a wharf builds all S and M ships, a shipyard builds all L and XL ships—although on a shipyard this requires two separate modules, so if it's damaged one may be absent. Essentially if it lands on a pad you sell it to a wharf, if it docks at a pier you sell it to a shipyard.

Don't sell them. Collect them, put them in a fleet and rename it The Foreign Legion. Later on fill them with 5 star pilots and make them elite. I do have a Xenon fleet. One H and 14 PE's. If you take Tharka's Cascade 15 you will get a lot of PE's that bail. I'm still getting them now, but am getting bored of that game.

Player approaches Xenon station, dodging swarms and turret fire: "Hey, guys, I've got something to sell you!"
Xenon: "o_O"

Worth pointing out that it is not possible to sell escape pods. It is sometimes possible to end up with controllable escape pod doe to a glitch.

To sell a ship, it's very important to have a staff member on board, such as a captain.

You can't sell a ship with nobody on-board.

Otherwise, the whole process is quite easy.

- Open map. (M)
- Select ship. (Click on ship)
- Select the Wharf - If ships is Medium or Small size.
- Select the Shipyard - If ship is Large or Extra Large size.
- Right click on the Wharf or Shipyard, and choose the option "Sell ship at".

No you absolutely can, a new captain just materializes inside the ship to drive it to the wharf, you just have to not be standing in the ship when you sell it

Yeah I don't think ships you want to sell need a crew. Just select the ship, right-click on wharf or shipyard and sell it. They'll take care of everything after that.

You can. Or at least you could in 7.0. A new captain will materialize and the ship will leave to the nearest scrapyard.

I just tested it, I couldn't sell the ship without a captain. Once I had a captain in it, I could sell it.

Hm.

What mods you running, I'm running pure vanilla and I can always sell any ship as long as i'm not standing in it, or if you're playing 7.50 maybe that could effect it

Just sold my empty Discovery Vanguard to the Argon wharf in 7.5 with no issues.

I'm playing Vanilla, brand new game. However, my version is 7.10.

Literally just tested again, 10 seconds ago.

No captain in the ship -> No option to sell at a Wharf.
Captain in the ship -> Yes option to sell at a Wharf.

No, I'm not in the same whilst trying to sell it. I'm in a completely different ship, and in a different system.
