Is it somehow possible to avoid it and give your scout specific orders?
It isn't tied to ship speed, by the way. A minor "skipping" in a fast ship happened before, but now you can have a chunk of a path missing with sapporo. It isn't exactly fast and has 80km radar.
As workaround I read that you can just open the map and either watch them or zoom out a bit? But thats really just a workaround, not a solution.
Maybe consider using slower ships. Or if you really, really want to clear certain places from fog, set a move order twice close to each other, so the ship has to stop there.
It is confirmed fixed in 7.6b... I'm on it now because the skipping was bad enough it was putting me out of the mood to play. Not even sure how the devs did not test and notice this....
