Unknown cutscenes question.
I sometimes face cutscenes without further activity:
1) At Getsu Fune I was stopped to show me how terrans preparing for fight with Xenon K. After cutscene there wasn't any xenons. And I mean not a single. That system was covered with sattelites long ago and I know what I'm talking about. Only military forces were at xenon gate and the only ship passed through gate (or just was flying near) was Yaki corvette.
1 minute later I got regular message that they done with task and returning to base. And as you might already guess everybody kept thier possitions regardless.

2) I met with "unknow ship heading unknown destination. Faction -> Duke's bucaneers". First time before got HQ. Actualy I skipped this time. Second time I got call from that boron-scientist and told me something about that unknow ship but I was busy with fight. I checked around later and there wasn't any L/XL ships, only s/m pirate patrols. Is it Flying Dutchman?
Also there was Duke's station with yellow sign at (probably a mission marker?). But I couldn't dock as have low reputation and there is no s/m dock at station.

3) Up to the pile: I also seen cuscene with "The last scrap" ship (probably part of Avarice questline). And nothing happend again. I saved later the freighter and teladi guy but that initial scrap ship hadn't any use.

Main question is how I should react on all that cutscenes? No missions, no proper info, nothing.

1. sound off I didn’t see any K in my cutscene
They were heading to attack the xenon of savage spur like they were saying

After a massive combat they said they were heading back.

2. is more obvious as the unknown ship is shooting Long range scan in the sector that the HQ is in

The first encounter you probably met a Duke Buc ship that was pirating

3. The ship I’m guessing your talking about is the Erlking and you can grab it at anytime with enough marines

I came from Asteroid belt and was heading Savage spur. No battles appeared at Getsu Fune nor Savage spur. Hm...

No. Both occasions happend nearly close at Morning star 3/4. First time I really seen big Duke's ship on the radar. But more important is my ship AI voice (forgot how its name) said phrase I put in quotes in topic starter comment. I only heard from her different object names and "hull critical/damaged" so far. Thats why it was weird thing.

And? Is it that specific that boron and ship AI voice commented about?

So Erlking not involved in any missions/quests, right? [/quote]

yes you are supposed to be able to get the erlking through data box drops in new systems, i found the erlking`s shield but so far no other data vaults in windfall area have any loot or scanning anoms

1. I usually get this cutscene while doing the CoH Terran Protectorate storyline. It makes a lot more sense in that context because it is the battle fleet you're supposed to join up with to fight the Xenon after a few tutorial missions. Unfortunately, you have to avoid Getsu Fune before the proper point in the story to avoid triggering it out of sequence if you care about that.

2. This is not the ship spamming Long-Range pings at HQ, That is the Oberth and is part of the HQ/Terraforming storyline.
The Duke's Bucaneers ship is part of the the Tides of Avarice storyline. It's carrying parts for higher tier ship mods. The alerts and commentary from Boso Ta are hints for later. The ship doesn't actually appear in space unless you've reached the point in the story where you're required to mod engines. (This story thread begins by rescuing a stranded Teladi trader in Avarice IV.)

3. This is not the Erlking. That's in Windfall III at the Vigor Keepsafe scrapyard.
The Last Scrap cutscene is at the gate to Windfall IV in Black Hole Sun IV.
Based on the dialogue context, The Last Scrap is supposed to be a Teuta or a Manticore because they are supposedly producing/processing scrap cubes. For some reason it's actually a Barbarossa which can't produce, process, or haul scrap cubes. It's just a fast and comparatively well armed large trade ship.
They probably used a Barbarossa as a placeholder before Teuta was ready and forgot to change it.
This is probably nothing more than a breadcrumb to alert players to the Windfall jumpgate activated by the ToA DLC. It is one of two breadcrumb events that leads directly into Avarice if you follow The Last Scrap to their destination.

Sorry, I don't remember it off the top of my head and don't have a save close enough right now. If you follow the Avarice story you eventually get a mission objective to destroy it and collect its cargo.

Despite Boso Ta and the Teladi talking about doing guild missions for mod parts I've been unable to progress the story without finding and destroying this ship. I haven't paid much attention to what it was named since it's a throw away ship.

Hm, I got that mission and it asked to modify ship and I did it. Thats all.

At least was it S or M ship? Do you remember size?

*shrug* First time I encountered the ship before modding my engines it locked me out of the option to skip the pirate hunt. It may set a flag that forced the me down that path if one triggers the event any time before that point in the storyline.

It requires modding an M ship.

I've encountered that ship before modding mission too and wasn't asked to hunt anything. Ok, nvm... It seems that is one more in-game issue.
