edit: in their FAQ they gave a glimpse of what is in the pipeline
I would imagine there would be some bug fix update coming in the not tooooo distant future, but I have absolutely no idea when.
Next big patches I do know of that was hinted at, were 7.50 and 8. Since I would imagine that 8 is coming next year around the same time that 7 came this year (they come out each year atm), it would stand to reason that 7.50 would come out in the middle between the two.
All speculation though and just my own educated estimations.
So expect 4x features/improvements.
Exactly what I want. More 4x stuff please!!!
Just don't get too excited and wait for the Egosoft-factor (as in what they think 4x is). Otherwise I see yet another wave of disappointment coming along with the new patch(es).
Very happy to enjoy some more awesome disappointment, whatever you're seeing as disappointment, I'm seeing as THE BEST space sim game of all time.
If this is what failure looks like, sign me up for every DLC hereafter as well!! :D
Agreed - I'm just sort of sick of always having all kinds of bickering around after each patch. Thus I'd try to remind people to keep their expectations in check :)
Just like humans, it'll have strengths and weaknesses, but what I see, is a dedicated dev team TRYING to get it right. Do they get it right every time? Hey, I'm not going to judge, I work for a dev company myself and know how impossible perfection is, all you can do is try your best and I have no doubt that's what Egosoft is doing.
