So it could probably work where you'd plug in a Katana (or Dragon or Nemesis), or as a player ship, but then you'd want to mod it so it has decent speed.
Regarding KHK, typically you'd want to use destroyers with terran L lasers against KHK, and not M ships.
Also with like 15 mines you can take out a K easily (come from behind eradicate the turrets and drop the mines directly on the shield gens. After that your EMCs kann delete the remaining hull in an acceptable time).
For me the Odachi is more like a bigger/better heavy fighter.
Also I find it's speed quite sufficient. In battle (with 2 terran m shield in a relative smaller ship) I'm more concerned in keeping the enemy infront of me then outrunning them.
400m/s is fast enough for most dog fights.
Sadly the AI doesn't seem to use it's maneuvarability efficently
