The thing is, if someone disliked rebirth or timelines, he will continue disliking it, no matter how much fun you had with it. Because it is about his experience, and not yours. Your fun does not make someone's experience any better. Hence the reaction. People and long time fans also expect certain things from the franchise, and both Rebirth and X4 missed that target completely.
I suggested you work hard to become the world tyran, so you will be able to exterminate the bunch of idiots who dare to have an opinion different from yours.
Jokes aside: go and have fun with that DLC, since according to score there are like 35% of players who like it^^ (just to spew some pure evil hatred, that also is based on facts.)
may i ask what the problem with that is?
different people, different tastes, different expectations.
SF felt into the same trap Rebrth did... noone was there to stop the hype buildup.
Thank goodness X4 returned to the original successful formula of being able to fly every ship. And each DLC added something new. I created a giant scrap processing plant and several Manticore tugs collect destroyed ships that used to just clutter up the systems. great addition to the game.
I bought Timelines mostly to support Egosoft. I'm enjoying the new ships introduced into my existing sandbox universe. I collected three Xenon ships and look forward to gathering more. If I have to do the Timelines missions to get other ships then I will.
So bottom line, if you enjoy something, great. Just don't expect everyone else to share your opinion.
Have I played Timelines, no. Do I have it yes. Can I unlock it through Creative Open Universe, yes. Problem solved for myself.
Is it necessary to broadcast to everyone that I hate something or neutral to something when the discussion is not in the context of giving feedback. No.
Problem? What problem? Im not the one that is sick of others and and telling them to grow up.
And yes - you should tell that stuff to OP. Opinions.
Also... you really think main issue with Starfield was hype? Oh my xD
4/10 game but let's blame hype xD
Then the games are released with bad performance, bugs, dumb gameplay loops, mediocore writing at best, and/or outright tonedeaf market positioning.
Oh, and dont forget how "lets just use FSR3 and skip optimization entirely" has become a standard for games nowadays...
Then, you add "politics" to the whole thing, and you get one big game (financially) failing after another due to lack of customers, even when its a free beta.
Then the studio gets closed, or turned into a "subordinate" for another studio, that just does side-work. EA even scrapped DLCs for the new Dragon Age, thats how well it met EAs expectations.
Cant wait for Elder Scrolls Loading Door Simulator 6 to go the Starfield route... meh...
==========
I mean, even buggy X4 will give you a better time while playing than 25-fps-loading-door-simulator that is starfield. (on release)
i truly think that the game is okayish.. not amazing, not utter garbage... just okayish.
why do i say that?
because i simply missed all the hype and what nots... blah-blah my "next gen game" rear end so to speak.
anyway... i digress from the OP... and i have to apologize.
i picked your reply specifically in the hopes that it would convey the intended message... that different people have different thoughts etc.
