Station traders are idle because of warebasket (presumably)
So i have this station with 4 star manager
As you can see i have plenty of traders assigned, the only ones working are construction
storage traders, and a 4 star manager
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3295423791
I have plenty of hull parts in storage, but 2 existing orders are from my own construction storage traders

Here i have a buy order of +16CR margin in Trinity sanctum which is exactly 4 jumps away
Grand Exchange - 1- 18billion - 2 - Memory of profit - 3- Bright promise - 4 - Trinity sanctum

Upd
While writing all of the above, i noticed that my traders themselves have warebasket (appears to be) wrong, as you can see it does not include hull parts, even tho i am pretty it included every ware with declared sales order

I am playing on 7.10 beta
So anyone has any idea tf did just happen?

Okey, i have mass re-assigned them and now all items are back in warebasket, while they still do nothing, will keep looking for whatever happens next

The Warebasket for the station auto trader, auto adjusts itself to reflect the needs of the production chain. I believe it updates the list every time it looks for a new trade, so you're seeing in that first picture what the ship is prioritizing for that trade.

The second pic of the production chain shows that you're critically low on wafers and tubes so the script prioritized getting things needed to keep the factory going over selling something that's a production dead end that's over it's desired stock level.

Either lower the minimum stock levels of Wafers/Tubes or set up a blacklist where you won't buy them from yourself. Also you might have sold too many hull parts and drove the price down below your accepted sell offer on the stations you've got satellites around/trade sub to too.

Yeah, you ran into the priority ware mechanic I keep asking Egosoft to change or allow players to be the boss of the station manager.

Whenever a station ware is low on inventory the station manager will trigger the priority ware mechanic, which only allows the priority ware items to be traded, even if other wares are valid and available to be traded.

The new changes to the ware basket attempts to address this issue since you can "assign certain traders to certain wares". But this is not a truly powerful alternative since this logistical design bottlenecks your station managers total trade capacity. It is only a fix if you can remember how you set up your "tinker" (extremely efficient) empire 10, 100 or 1000 hours later when that one trader who was perfectly set up just died. . .

The priority ware mechanic is very useful if the ware is available and would be even more useful if the player could turn it on and off at will without having to redesign or make a huge effort to address the issue.

Please add to the discussion on Egosoft X4: Foundation Forum so that more attention can be had on the subject. The title of the post is: Make players the boss of station manager please!

Well, yeah, i see, that is hilarious. And to setup station to trade only through assigned ships is still pain in the ass.

To me it does look like a borderline bug, it does not prioritize ware (bizarrely enough in my case i was lacking wafers exactly because those dimwits refused to trade and i couldn't get cash to finish modules), it excludes them for whatever reason. And as far as i understand the only solution is to uncheck automatic on every single ship. because we still cant remove buy orders on items station produce itself
Thanks, more pointless micro clicking to make up for a system to reduce autoclicking

I have resorted to taking any trader that is sitting idle away from the station and sending them for the items needed to get production moving again.

The easiest manual way to trump the priority ware mechanic is to untick automatic storage allocation and set it to 1 until you are able to source the priority ware. This will get your traders working again.
