Boron Terraforming Mission

Wow this one takes a ton of work/resources. So we need over 2 million ICE for it, where do you all setup your ICE station(s) to supply that much ICE? There aren't really any nearby ice sectors. I was going to setup a huge ice gathering complex it Getsu Fune, but it is a LONG way to make deliveries.

You need waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more then just 2,26 million (wich is just one cycle), you have to do that 8 times. I just finished that prolly did cost around 500million+, ive build an Ice storage in Barren Shores and got like 30 L Miners and another 30 L miner for "selling" the ice to the HQ.

Rolks Demise has about 600m ice. Only3 or 4 jumps from ocean of fantasy, so assigning miners to HQ with a good manager can automate the process.

Wretched skies X is also 5 jumps from ocean of fantasy. Lots if ice there. In my current run i built lots of water industry there to feed to the borons and also the workforce supply industry for my main industry hub in heretics end.

Probably suitable if you actually play as a boron - one of the sectors in between is zyarth patriarchy which i think is histile with borons.

I think I had an ice buy offer for the highest price at the HQ plus about 30 L miners in Rolk's Demise. Took some time, you might increase the number of miners as desired.

Just park your HQ in Ocean of Fantasy the miners will go to one of the main boron sectors
And yes you need 8x 2.8M Ice and thats just starters.
Also set up a BoGas and Plankton because you also need alot of that.

I used:
- 70 L Miners to make it bareable.
- 100+ Plankton factories

Goodluck, I just finished it and it took ages and I came well prepared.
Once finished all other terraforming projects are, resource wise, a walk in the park.

This is going to be a slog. Hopefully once I setup all the infrastructure for this the other terraforming projects come easier. The "impossible" one should already be easier as the xenon are not in that sector anmore.

What L miners do you use and do you just setup base equipment or do you go all in making them super expensive but more effective?

I'm only running about 50 million in the bank right now so can't just go out and buy 30 L level miners on a whim.

there's a bunch of highways between Rolks Demise and Ocean of Fantasy, so using M miners might be the smarter choice (L can't use highways). Also the logistics become easier - a few 8M docks can handle a lot of traffic whereas it's pretty hard to place enough L docks to have smooth operations wtith large numbers of L ships.

What, in your opinion is the best m miner? Do you go for speed, cargo, ability to defend itself from enemies, cost, etc?

In my current run i went with the Plutus Sentinel (HOP Version of the Paranid miner). Reasonably fast and good capacity. I don't care about combat stats of miners.

The Manorina (Teladi) is also pretty good.

I would have thought by the stage you start Teraforming you should have at least a couple of shipyards, and lots of money making factories.
I would just set the HQ to go, and do other things, checking periodically.
If you are doing it to train pilots, pick an easy teraforming mission to start with.

I used minimum setup teladi L, because not many threats in that space. But made them myself.
About the xenon ones, I believe once they are gone from the sector the terraforming mission also disappear, unfortunatly.

The plankton is where I hit my wall.
I ended up with a mega factory in sector producing 400k plankton an hour just to keep up. And it was profitable for a surprisingly long time before saturating the market.

yea i am on this same task done 4 for now got two trade stations set too buy ice one in wreched X and second in heretics end ,both got miners like 50 pulus sentinels to get ice, + 12 L Crane (Mineral) Sentinel set repeat the orders to buy ice and sell in HQ
