CAn someone enlighten me?

I want to buid S-Ships.

-I have a S/M-building module.
-i have stockpiled all needed materials
-i bought a S-ship blue print.
-I bought 1 Blueprint of all the needed equipment slots on the ship


what i am missing? When i go to the menue the buy ship is still greyed out. ANd if i visit my ship cendor there is noone at the counter. Whats wrong?

Did you assign a worker to the ship-merchant job?
If not pick a rnd crewmate and reassign to the station with the module,
should show you a free slot for the crewmember.

do you have a ship dealer / broker (I think that is the term) - hire member of crew to work on the shipyard as ....
Construction drones.
crew on your station to assign to the ship as pilot and crew (Don't think needed in avarice but can only get pilot).

Hey, not so fast Do the skills matter? I just assigned the lowest skilled crew from one of my freighters to an equipment dock but he's only able to make repairs and no upgrades.

No, skills don't matter. There must be another reason why upgrades aren't possible. Do you have the correct blueprints and the required materials?
