The E-model variation was introduced at a later date, and updated the superficial design to bring it up to par with Commonwealth standards that were established during the period of disconnection. The precursor version is slowly being phased out, but will remain available for interested third parties.
while the upgrade in terms of equipment and looks was nice, it also had downsides.
Almost all original destroyers could hold 40 S-class craft; the original Odysseus additionaly could hold 10 M-class ships. Together with the original Behemoth (thanks to its four launch bays), it was quite suitable as a mini-carrier.
The E versions have reduced carrying capacity in that regard.
If yes they are forced to do it this way, i think it was XBox or Sony who make Savegame compability mandatory. Its the reason why so many Early access games never get updates on consoles
Excellent answer and I did wonder about them. Typical Egosoft. Thinking of their fans.
For me the Crane E is the miner of choice. An unstoppable mushroom that very nearly always finds it way home. Only the Xenon or 50+ Khaak can stop this beauty and unless it's a K or God forbid an I then it will probably survive the most heinious assaults until you can send in reinforcements and the old girl is worth looking after.
No.
