Multiple Shipyards at PHQ...?

I have a S/M Shipyard on my PHQ and added a L Ship Fab but can only select the S/M Fab option to build ships...

However, I can upgrade and repair L class ships at my PHQ...

Is it possible to switch between the two shipyards or are you limited to one type only?

Do you have L ship blueprints? To build ships, you need blueprints.

You can have as many shipyards as you want, including multiple shipyards of the same type.

To build large ships you have to have the L Ship Fab, a L ship blueprint, a L ship engine blueprint, and a L thruster blueprint. That'll let you make the bare minimum ship.

More shipyards in a single station will let you build more ship simultaneously. 2 L shipyards means build 2 L ships at once, 4 yards means up to 4 ships at once. Limited only by resources.

Yes I bought the L FAb Shipyard Blueprint not the L Maintenance Blueprint…

Is it possible to mix and match two shipyard types on the same station or in this case my PHQ?

Again I can still built the S/M ships from my fist shipyard but when I click “Build Ships” at my PHQ and go to my ship build screen it only allows me to select S/M ships to build and no L ships.

The L shipyard is built at my PHQ and I can click on my L size ships and upgrade them but don’t know how to build new from my PHQ with both shipyards attached…

You need to know at least one blueprint of an L ship. Then the menu should show up. Did you buy a blueprint from faction? If you have not learned even one L ship blueprint, you can't build L ships. You can't even preview ships you do not know in "build ships" menu.

Yes, I already bought the S/M blueprint ship fabrication from Terrans. build it on my PHQ. I then bought the L ship fabrication shipyard also from Terran and built that on my PHQ 100% complete.

I can only select S/M in the build menu.

I know you can add multiple of the same shipyard types but can seen to add two or more different types to one station or your PHQ…

Is this a game limitation?

Has anyone added all three shipyard types to one mega station before?

Yes, you can put S/M and L and XL yards on the same station.

You ALSO need to buy a blueprint for an L SHIP. Ship, not shipyard. Like Hokkaido, Magnetar, Cthonios, etc. If you're buying tech from terrans, their L ships are Hokkaido, Okinawa and Osaka. By default your character does not know any L ship blueprints.

And yes, you can have multiple shipyards of different size.
