And yes, most of this paint patters suck.
Basically the worst decision ever made by Egosoft.
edit: added link to the list of ship paints in the engine (official wiki)
If you're in vanilla you can also try getting high (27+) rep with RIP or FRF, who both have brown paint schemes.
Do you know what missions? Can I do them over and over to keep getting the colors?
Currently I use the foundation red or foundation yellow. The biggest problem is that Red makes my captured Xenon PEs and PSs look like Neocardina Shrimp. Also foundation red makes my Boron ships look like weird flesh beasts. Foundation yellow is almost right but it looks a little bit too much like bling to me, and I dont want to fly around in a bling cruiser. It makes me think my toon should be stepping out of the ship with gold teeth and a gold plated eyepiece.
Hands down metallic gray, metallic blue, and white should be default colors. Or even optional colors you can get. So far they dont even have them as options you can ever get. Why?
@egosoft - how about you make them buyable ingame, hmm? After all, it is your game not having the features its supposed to have anymore.
I think it's "republic standard" if I remember correctly. For easier missions from Segaris or Antigone. Perhaps also from other guilds.
