How do you use the Space Suit EMP?

Not sure how to use it and what it does, anyone know what it can be good for?

The EMP is used to create data leaks (for hacking blueprints and other mischeif).

You'll need a space suit bomb launcher (available from most disreputable trading corners and a few missions)

Jump in your space suit, select your bomb launcher, use the K key to change bomb types if you have space suit bombs equipped, and then launch the EMP at a target station.

You'll see the bomb drift out and latch on, you can then detonate it with secondary fire, or by right clicking it and picking 'detonate'.

Data leaks should appear, which can then be scanned with your suit scanner.

Most stations do not appreciate being EMP'd too much.

Spacesuit EMPs are mainly used for producing signal leaks in where you can steal the blueprints of station modules.

To select them, equip your Spacesuit bomb launcher as your main fire group and change your loadout in the same way that you'd change your missile type. Default button is K.

With research you can use the EMP on stations to steal production module blueprints.
This is a very cheap way to unlock blueprints for your factory.
Other rewards are discounts on wares, or trade subscription unlocks ( value at least 10million)

You fire it like any other weapon, ( i have always used it under 2km range) then select the bomb and choose detonate from the drop down.

I think it can be used for anti station piracy as well but unsure on those mechanics.
