There are many different starts, you have 2-3 different economy materials.
Each race has their own ships.
It does take a little bit of getting into as there is a lot to it. You will need some patience and googling to get the best out of it.
Check the game specs, as it can get demanding modelling the whole empire on your computer.
A really important thing: X4 is neither Elite nor Stellaris. (Don't know Cities Skylines)
Whilst you CAN play X4 like some of the elements in those games X4 is way bigger a concept.
Yah man when I get into games like this I tend to buy the DLCs for the entire experience or the illusion of it. Money aint an issue when it comes to DLCs and my gaming. Only buy 1-2 games a year anyways. Ill get back into stellaris when the DLCs I don't own total probably $100 USD again and knowing paradox it wont be that long LOL
I see what you mean must be on another level of difficulty vs those games. Ill watch some vids before sale end. Thx for the YT recommendation.
wow that is another level of detail vs other simulation games!
Plus there are story lines that you might like.
Straight to the point it seems XD
For replayability, I'd give it very high marks.
Think I got a pretty comprehensive answer and watched some YT on this.
