Vig rep not increasing, -20 after plot
What i know:

1. No Criminal Traffic at Vig stations
2. Killing enemies near vig station doesnt increase rep.
3. Scanning leaks on TEL stations gives VIG missions. Done 3 and no rep increase.

What else can i do?

I honestly have very little idea other then waiting patiently for unfriendlies to appear. I had no issue getting vig rep as I had a trade ship stumble across their systems and I immediately began trading with them (I actually was reveicing trade rep increases from them before having any idea where they actually were located)

How far through the plot are you? You might still be in the section where VIG has a price on your head.

You'll need to do two things, and I recommend you do them in this order.

1) Destroy the marked station
2) Pay the cartel 15M

If I remember right, step 1 stops VIG reputation drain and a lot of fighter agro, and 2 restores your rep to pre- leap of faith levels. If you do it in the other order, you'll restore your rep by paying them off, and then lose it again by destroying the station.

If you haven't done it already, I think the Arcadian Endeavor storyline gives a little vig rep, so you might try that.

I have paid the 15mil but not killed the station

The empyerian cur plot line is the one im on I assume the last mission of. I've got my vig rep up to 20 or 25 or so atm I think. Haven't taken out any of their stations or nun. Guess that's a plot line I gotta find lol

Oooh, okay, you might have a tough time of it... I might remember the effects wrongly, but yeah, get that station blown up, and things might be better. I wouldn't bother trying to fix your rep until it's done.

If you're struggling, large numbers of laser towers can really help with the fighter spam... But dealing damage to the station will be difficult without large ships or spending a lot on missiles. Look into getting the destroyer from Faulty Logic VII if you're really stuck. (And pray it spawns with it's main guns)

Alternatively, steal a few SCA capital ships.

To trigger the quest, it should be as simple as taking illegal wares into Windfall I Union Summit... Someone will contact you about it.

And if you do figure out how to start the quest, do look after Ace for me ;) He doesn't always retreat when he's supposed to and I always find it a bit sad when he apparently decides that now is the time to go out in a blaze of glory.

If you kill the station your rep resets to 0 I think. A very good idea is to build a station in Eighteen Billion. It's a great sector for trade and any traders you assign to that station will raise the rep of VIG, MIN and RIP. So two of the hardest factions to increase rep dealt with by one station. The more traders you assign, the quicker your rep increases for all those factions. Oh including Teladi.

Make a save just 1 minute before you destroy the station. Make sure before the final salvo hit, disable all laser towers or mines anything that mite keep firing after the station blows. Also instantly pause the game disable all turrets on your ships util you get the transmission that VIG is off your bounty.

There have been cases where soon as the station blows up and you regain reputation with VIG some pilots will stay hostile and new war mite brake up since they send swarms upon swarms of enemy ships and you mite not be able to contain it and lose all your rep again.

I've not long did this mission and as soon as the station is down VIG stop attacking you, a voice message from the person you speak to at the advanced sat appears and all is good again. VIG leave you alone and you start from 0 again.

Putting a station in Eighteen Billion fixes that.

Very weak. I sent 3 Asgards lol. I did try it with Delilah's Swansong to begin with, but they now use missles a lot and she couldn't take anymore. So I retreated and sent 3 Asgards. They mopped everything up nicely.

My global routine to deal with VIG.
1) grind rep and buyout all blueprints.
2) steal M0 ship
3) do some VIG related guests
4) do ToA questline (to the end with payment and station destruction, so no quests will hang there)
5) 3 battlegroups: A
A 2 asgards 8 Syn + escorts to Windfall VI (+ escorts)
B 1 Asgard 4 Syn to Windfall I from Eighteen Billion (+ escorts)
C 1 Asgard 4 Syn to Windfall I from Silent Witness (+ escorts)
6) No mercy, no remorse,
7) set up production in Windfall sectors, trade with Avarice.

+ you will get a bonus in future budgeted gamestarts for faction wipeout

What is illogical is Toa questline. Like why Vigor took money to hit a person, who can mass-produce personal battleships. By logic, they should have put the money in businessman’s ass and send him away.

This incident is why I obliterate VIG. Just a nod to the HAT plotline "A lack of respect". The bribe to shoo away the gnats is couch change. That the player gave the attackers an option to leave instead of the usual violence. I doubt they'll behave differently, but I'll check to see how they behave while I'm in XL command ship.

The cheapest way have done this mission in the past is board two SCA L ship and add Split beam on L turret, argon Flack on M turret set all to fighters. get one fast scout and buy MK1 laser towers and place them at the gate from Blacksun inside Windfall 100 and 50 on the side of Blackhole 2km away from each side. Now use the fighter to go in boost to the Station lure as many as you can and boost out back to Blackhole. Do this as many time you need util there are no more than 10-15 fighters left protecting the station then take the L ships and blast the station.

Alternatively if your reputation is not bad with Terran Protectorate go to Getsu Fune and answer the call to join the SOL militia plot quest. Follow that quest is very easy you need only one fighter to do all steps and at some point Delilah will give you a free Syn L capital ship change it's guns to PAR Plasma they are the best to blast stations with. that ship is going to help you a lot.
