Abandoned ships - randomized drops, part of DLCs or both?

I found a Xenon ship abandoned and was under the impression that it was a randomized find. But then, playing Timelines, I got some other ships that someone in here explained to me that Ill find them in the sandbox as abandoned ships.

So Im wondering if all abandoned ships I find are part of DLCs (I bought the game bundle and I honestly have no clue what content each DLC adds) or if abandoned ships are a part of the randomized drops that you can find. Or both.

There are abandoned ships that can occur naturally, generally after combat (this can be induced by the player). There are location specific abandoned ships that occur for completing certain parts of the Timelines dlc. Then there are certain abandoned ships that occur in specific locations in the base game.

Some abandoned xenon ships are from the dlc some are from the base game. Both the base game and Timelines dlc have abandoned ships. Ships can xenon se, f, pe, b can bail. Xenon H can be captured but is currently very difficult to board.

Npc ships can be made to bail or be captured.

Supposedly the Kingdom’s end adds a mining ship, but beyond that they typically don’t ass anything like that. As far as free ships are concerned, some of the dlc plots may grant you free ships, like a Syn destroyer.

Destroyer, Teladi m combat ship, mining ship (can get destroyed fast) are findable in the base game.

base game there is a an abandoned destroyer, there is a frigate, a medium miner and a number of fighters in various sectors. with timelines there are xenon ships but also old terran ships as well, one of which is in a dangerous place and might require additional resources to get it free.

I found a Xenon ship of type Pe; it looks very cool (reminds me of the Matrix). That's from Timelines?

PE was added in the 7.0 patch on the base game. If you found one, then it's probably been a fight and the pilot bailed.

In Timelines, there are three claimable ships:
H - Tharka's Cascade XV, on the other side of the one way highway, directly south of the super highway to Tharka's Cascade XVII
F - Nopileos Fortune II, north-northwest of the super highway to Nopileos Fortune VI, near the outskirts of the asteroid field.
B - Antigone Memorial, directly west of The Void gate at the end of an asteroid field arm.
