ship destroyed now stuck on station
So a game and my only ship was destroyed early on and now im stuck on a station i managed to get to, is there anything i can do, or is being stuck here meaning game over?

If you don't have enough money to buy another ship, it's pretty much game over. Better reload.

that sucks, theres no shipyard on the station im on, but im only an hour into it so

to buy ships you dont need to be on the Station you can buy ships by right click on a shipyard on the map

Well, you can also open the map and search for a wharf and then order a ship from the map. But that'll cost you 300,000 or so Credits. But yeah, you may just want to reload if you are only one hour in.

btw, make sure to adjust the autosave intervals in the game settings.

An empty fighter with just engines and other necessities (the docking computers etc) should not cost nearly that much and would be more then enough for him too get unstranded

If you're so early in the game, you might just be stuffed... It technically -is- possible to get between stations in a space suit, but I really wouldn't recommend trying (go to an airlock, 'use space suit' and then drift over to the next station)

Better to restart, and maybe spend the early game scouting around to try and find a friendly wharf and some money... Some basic ships are much cheaper than others, so shop around.

There are also some abandoned ships out there in space, but finding one when all you have is a space suit? No fun... But you can get most of 'em right from the start of a game if you know where to look.
