I think you can't then start another boarding attempt on the same ship, but it stops the rogue pods and gets your marines back.
not sure whether if any made it the boarding attempt is started, probably it does.
I cannot believe I did not think to try this lol. Thank you, this fixed the endless cringey voice lines and I was able to turn my sound back on :D
The pods are still in the unassigned ships, hoping they go away eventually.
1: Shoot the thrusters of the target (if its a capital ship (oh and peel the turrets off otherwise your marines will die anyways))
2: (mentioned already by someone) Transfer them back.
3: (also mentioned) Shoot the pods down - keep that in mind for when a pod gets stuck later (assuming that bug still occurs from time to time)
- someone suggested dropping a laser tower behind the ship after you have disabled it to stop it repairing the engines.....
-Transfer back is the answer unless you want to lose marines, but was added in 6.something, so some players may not be aware that you can.
Not sure if 10 marines board, and you transfer back the ones that didn't make it whether boarding starts at that point. - as in getting to the target stage is marked as complete.
a. Despawn?
b. Spawn some enemy? (or will they ignore pods?)
You can also transfer the crew out first, but depending on the boarding skills, you might just consider this the cost for failing to board correctly ;)
