But yeah the continual attack seems bug.
I mean they are mods making xenons go crazy that are more of an existencial crisis than this
Maybe even an exclusive job that only unlock during the crisis that make said faction fleet in that fleet only focus on attack
Makes sense. Get onto the Devs so they improve on it before the official release of 7.00 !
It went on for far too long, IMO.
To make things easier for yourself, evacuate and blacklist the sector to all ships, grab yourself an Asgard with whirlygig (turn speed) Nanotube (reduced mass and ship drag) and annihilator (Weapon damage and cooling) upgrades... Pavise (sheld capacity) will also help if you get cheapshot with a ravager spawn.
In each new sector, first up deploy advanced satellites, having a scout wing of seven fast ships to deploy them in a hexagon pattern will provide you enough intel to know where the dangerous ships are.
Then, concentrate on taking out the xenon destroyer wing as soon as you can, afterwards, only bother with the ravagers. Deal with all of them personally. If you are in sector, they're considerably less dangerous than sending your fleet in out of sector.
Once the all clear is sounded for the sector, having a few destroyers that can mop up the smaller ships out of sector helps get things working again without losing too much sanity in chasing small ships in a big ship.
I would recommend avoiding small class ships, kha'ak use beam weapons, which will chew them up. A large wing of medium ships will do much better than small ships, but again, destroyers can just laugh and flex at the puny small damage output weapons that the bugs use.
And yeah, hang in there, it does come to an end eventually... Eventually.
I figured they would make it like other missions and you could engage/not engage at your own pace.
Anyways, as a somewhat new player (couple of months), I definitely do not want my game on a timer -- forcing me to play in a specific way to prepare for some crisis.
Alternatively, (and this was kind of hinted at already) a new Khaak Queen emerges. Something similar to the above, except you'd have boso do a questline where he figures out how to get to the Khaak home sector where the new queen lives. Your reward at the end would be jumpdrive tech.
No, Pretty sure people wanted an actual crisis.
Like, Xenon suddenly switching from defensive attrition to full out assault or Kha'ak Fleet appearing out of deepspace and slowly making way to centre of a random system before colonizing it then slowly expanding outwords.
It shouldn't tell the player either till the event full gets set up (Stations & Fleets) the player can jump on it if observant but otherwise no.
Ngl, Current system you will have people cry for "Optional Crisis Toggle" within the year. They already whined about Xenon being too strong (When they weren't) and ruined Xenon for the people who actually invest time into the game.
Now you just make a gateway plug and forget about them till you have enough ships & roll the entire sector with zero resistance.
Aside from that, 7.00 Has been good . . . Crisis needs a rework, Not a good system right now.
