We are tracking feedback to see if it requires further balancing. Note: it is supposed to be hard to capture one by boarding.
I feel like losing a couple should be normal but losing 90 percent of the squad hurts especially how hard it is to train marine since you need to board or do terraforming training
Ah... Ok, that makes sense.
It is, in fact, the only L ship in vanilla that can solo a K in high attention without player assistance.

70 drones helps a lot, but may be the issue comes from the main battery?
I wouldn't know, as I don't think it's a good use case, so I've never tested for this. While K do travel solo, they often don't.
If I want my AI to take on anything up to a K, then I send a carrier with 10 corvettes onboard, and maybe 12 fighters.
If a well dressed Syn walks into a bar and finds a solo K messing with his girl, the Syn can handle him. Both the Syn and the K can travel with backup, so why wouldn't the player give the Syn backup.
The statement was that the H is *the only L ship* that can solo a K without player input, and I think there's at least one other L ship that could. (Rattlesnake comes up a bit short in the hull/shield equation, and for my tastes, so does the H) Now, which would do better with a K and 12-15 Xenon S/M ships? Perhaps the solo vanilla Syn loses that battle to the solo H, but you will not catch my Syns out on their own, so it's a moot point for me.
(edit to add because I wanted to double check): For those up for using mods, the Syn battleship has 15 well placed M turrets, when using the moreturrets mod, while keeping its quite reasonable 8 L turrets.
The Syn and the Zeus are two ships that keep that mod in my extensions folder. I just don't think it's logical to develop a weapons platform of this scale, and not have every system involved well balanced, and it happens that I have more than 20 years in military aviation to base my related opinions on.
When you send in the maximum number of 2-star marines, it's around 630, so I think 800 or 700 would be just right.
I would imagine that it wouldn't even have corridors to begin with
Just small tunnels for maintenance drones, but it's just si-fi thinking lol
