What do orange and white icon colours mean on map?

I see orange and white icons next to my ships in property owned but not sure what the difference is between a white icon and an orange icon? eg i have 2 ships listed under my property owned both are docked but one has an hourglass icon in orange and the other is white?

Orange is failed orders. It happens a lot. If your storage is full on a station then all your miners will have failed orders. But you still need miners lol. White I think is it's idle?

Orange - some sort of alert, usually a failed order (or multiple) - does not imply idle, especially when under fleet/station.
White - Have orders or holding after orders
Blue - Idle with no orders at all (usually only happens when you clear all orders)

Edit: actually I think blue indicates it is acting on its default behavior as set in the ship panel (a miner automining for example). I just have most ships on hold position, which is where I went wrong :P
