It is! There needs to be some ransom mechanic where you can sell prisoners. And capture them during a successful boarding. Maybe get random missions from captured people. And the missions are only given by prisoners so people would want to try capturing people for these special missions.
Let's commit a crime on this station so heinous the station would thank someone for killing me, that I am apparently completely stuck on. That more often than not is armed with turrets, defense drones on top of typical security forces.
With no reasonable means I could ever escape.
Oh no, I got to get away now.
Quickly, to the Space-Moped. Time to make my 20m get away... to uh, I guess the other side of the same station or something.
Because it I tried to leave this place in my snail moped well maybe my skeleton could arrive out the other side of the sector warpgate by next month at the pace I can travel...
Just saying, probably a good idea to be very observant of the rules if you don't have an actual ship in space first before you do any crimes.
It'd be nice if you could capture escape pods & the crew would then show up in the brig where you could recruit them or drop them off at a station.
"Fun" fact on that note: in the past, devs argued that they won't add more rooms because they add no gameplay value [and the creation of said rooms is best spend elsewhere].
"The" community keeped pestering the devs (read: a few hammered the devs on every interaction occasion with questions about adding new rooms) so they finally gave in. So we got a bunch of shiny new rooms but the resource dilemma of the small developer didn't change. Hence they have no purpose besides small story missions (if at all).
Yeah they even made a small mockering dialogue about this in KE, some Boron telling you bout standartisation between them and ARG....
Utter nonsense as everyone is using the same poor place-holder textures aswell...
Problem : Noting to do / No interactions in Rooms / interriors + Placeholder-madness
Egosoft : Add 3 more empty rooms in DLCs, a lazy and out of place dialogue wich in itself makes 0 sense and call it a day...
