In big ships, what is the use of Brig?
Looks a bit ....

Only used for a story mission. Otherwise, nothing to see there.

Everything aside from bridge is for content creators or roleplayers, They have no function.

Heh, for a brig the "raise bars" buttons each are suspiciously close to their respective cell.

It has generally no usage, practically, but when I use SETA, I sometimes use that. I really want to be in the ship, but don't want to control in cockpit.

The Brig is a constant reminder for Egosoft to finish Stuff before releasing it.

I'm still waiting for continuation of the curs storyline.

Yes, this is what I'm pushing for devs to work on instead of expanding the universe. Please extend and give purpose to interior rooms. If others and myself have given a lot of not too hard to implement ideas for room usage.

It is! There needs to be some ransom mechanic where you can sell prisoners. And capture them during a successful boarding. Maybe get random missions from captured people. And the missions are only given by prisoners so people would want to try capturing people for these special missions.

Station criminals, should be able to capture them and toss them in the brig and turn into authority. In the X universe every crime is a death sentence.

Well I mean, they are guilty of being irredeemably stupid.
Let's commit a crime on this station so heinous the station would thank someone for killing me, that I am apparently completely stuck on. That more often than not is armed with turrets, defense drones on top of typical security forces.

With no reasonable means I could ever escape.
Oh no, I got to get away now.
Quickly, to the Space-Moped. Time to make my 20m get away... to uh, I guess the other side of the same station or something.
Because it I tried to leave this place in my snail moped well maybe my skeleton could arrive out the other side of the sector warpgate by next month at the pace I can travel...

Just saying, probably a good idea to be very observant of the rules if you don't have an actual ship in space first before you do any crimes.

As others have said, the Brig is currently only used in one story mission.
It'd be nice if you could capture escape pods & the crew would then show up in the brig where you could recruit them or drop them off at a station.

In X3 you could capture pilots and sell them to the Split as slaves. Obviously that's a hot topic in the world right now and I can't see anyone making anything that involves slaves? Maybe a movie highlighting how horrible it all was? But certainly not for entertainment. The modders can do what they like however. Well, within reason.

"Fun" fact on that note: in the past, devs argued that they won't add more rooms because they add no gameplay value [and the creation of said rooms is best spend elsewhere].

"The" community keeped pestering the devs (read: a few hammered the devs on every interaction occasion with questions about adding new rooms) so they finally gave in. So we got a bunch of shiny new rooms but the resource dilemma of the small developer didn't change. Hence they have no purpose besides small story missions (if at all).

Utter nonsense as everyone is using the same poor place-holder textures aswell...

Problem : Noting to do / No interactions in Rooms / interriors + Placeholder-madness
Egosoft : Add 3 more empty rooms in DLCs, a lazy and out of place dialogue wich in itself makes 0 sense and call it a day...
