Report a translation problem
The problem of them not firing main guns needs seriously attending to. Re-design them to have more powerful XL turrets (increase in number and firepower) and/or have designs with side main batteries (port and starboard). A much better default AI response/reaction and some more player commands is needed: a *fire from current position* order at the very least.
a command - stand your ground an look for red dots - yes 4-5 star pilot maybe. i like that.
The dps of station gravitons combined with the incredibly inept AI is extremely frustrating. If a destroyer gets too close because the AI is being dumb then you rarely have time to notice and definitely not enough time to react. Even the best ship will go down in seconds.
Hell at this point I'd take a completely specialized ship that is only for station busting and completely worthless vs everything else. The asgard can kind of be this but it's still pretty slow to kill stations imo.

3. Clean up the Capital ship AI from 6.0
They made quite a bit of changes to the Capital ship AI from fighting station to fighting ships. Now they need to clean it up a bit so stuff like hugging and main gun targeting can be fine tuned
From my experience station suicide is really not all that prominent anymore even with 0 star destroyer pilots, they do have a positioning problem if they are too close to each other though (all good formation is locked at higher level to stop hugging)
They are definitely heading in the right direction for destroyers compared to when they would just die if you tell them to attack without the right star level and attacking from above or below the station
Capital ships have a pitch shooting limit of +/-55° and lack significant situational awareness. Unless Egosoft seriously considers improving the pathfinding algorithm or reevaluating how capital ships should engage in combat, the issue won't likely be resolved.
