Solar Panel positioning
Does the positioning and angle of solar panels towards the sector star influence production?

nope, not at all.

if you wish you can build them in eternal shadows... as long as the sector has sufficient output your panels will produce.

No, only the % of sunlight in the sector. (For example, Bright Promise has a 200% multiplier.)

No. But I position them towards the sun anyways when I can!

Hey sorry to digress topic with a pointer. But when I started I did not know the level of compact nature you can put these panels on a station. You get some great output with commonwealth solar panels (large ones) if you not only stack them same angle next to each other horizontally but also vertically. With a single small connector for each pair of two panels going both side to side and up and down.

Haha yes it is, it looks horrible and counter intuitive because they are all blocking each other from sunlight.
