How to copy trade ship repeat orders to other ships?
I have some traders distributing multiple wares from 1 central prod to multiple distribution sales centers scattered about the various factions.

The per-ship setup is very time consuming!!

Is there a way to copy the settings for what wares to buy and sell, while changing destination station to other traders easier than doing it every time manually?

No, not with "repeat orders". But if you use an automated trade behavior like "fill shortages", then you can assign multiple ships as subordinates with "mimic" and they will copy the behavior and any blacklist the leader has. (BTW, "mimic" won't work with "repeat orders".)

I really wish there was a way combine repeat orders and mimic ships into a fleet so I could clean up my unassigned ships list

Thanks, I dont believe i have ever used this setting Fill Shortages, I will check how it is used.

Come to think of it, back in X3TX wasnt there a settings copy option....? i seem to remember vaguely of something like that.

You can't mimic repeat orders but you can group ships with different repeat orders (or default behaviors) together.
It's a little tedious but not particularly difficult.

1. go to the ships behavior tab, set behavior to hold position
2. select the repeat order behavior and set up your orders but don't hit confirm yet, keep that tab open
3. assign the ship to a commander (role doesn't matter afaict), wait until the assign order completes and it switches to being a subordinate on the list
4. confirm the repeat order

After that the ship performs its repeat orders as normal while still appearing as assigned to its commander, so you can just dump them all into a single fleet no matter what they're doing.

It also works for most other default behaviors, but autominers have an unfortunate tendency to go to their commanders sector instead of the ones assigned to them.

Assign commander to the required sector and dock it somewhere. Then add mimic subordinates. A bit clumsy but works.

How I do in particular: setup 2 M gas miners + 2 S mineral miners (per each ware to mine) for the target sector and dock them. And then manage miners in between them assigning to mimic if needed. For example, if Ore is no longer required in nearby sectors I may throw more into Silicon mining by the matter of few clicks.
