Manticores do not deliver scrap metal.
I have several manticores hanging around my station and they barely let go of the scrap. My station has more than enough power and the scrap processor is completely empty. It's red, it has no resources to process.

Is it possible that manticores do not work correctly when many are gathered together to deliver scrap?

I'm sorry if my English is not very good.

Is your station built properly? For example, if I remember correctly, the scrap cubes produced by the processor requires solid storage, not container.

Yes, it generally works fine, but when there are several manticores lining up to drop the scrap, they go around and never deposit the cube.

One solution is to send some manticores to sell to another factory, then the problem will be solved. But if there are many (5 or 6 manticores), they get stuck.

Have you tried going OOS?
As I can see nothing changed in v6.2.
How many Scrap Processor do you have at bugged station? (number of modules)

OOS? I don't know what it means, sorry.

Two Processor and one Recycler.

The manticores are in "repeat order" mode. They automatically pick it up from one place and take it to the processing factory. When there are one or two ships queuing to unload everything works fine. But when several come together, the factory runs out of scrap metal and the ships walk around without unloading.

OOS = out of sector.

The game greatly simplifies the simulation when your character is not around in order to save computing resources, and so many issues involving collisions and such simply do not happen. You should try it!

Have you tried assigning the Maticores as subordinates of the station?

I assume there is mess with finding free processor. Perhaps script do not reserve space/recycler for incoming Manticore how it happens with common storage. And thus 2 Manticores choose same module. First one delivers scrap and second one just waits till the module finishes work instead of looking for free one.

It's well documented that if you have more than one scrap processor on the same station (or even the same system) they'll all get completely borked because the coding for delivery queues is completely broken.

One station = one processor or risk the wrath of the Bug God.

I'll point it out just in case. Manticores require M docks to be able to properly work with the scrap mechanic. It's dumb I know but the AI seems to break if there isn't a dock, even when that dock is not used by anyone. Just something else on the checklist.

Removing a processor seems to have solved the problem. I need a little more time to check it out, but it looks like it was this.

thank you very much to all.

I had the same situation. The cause of the issue was the following.
I created several 'patrol' groups. Each includes 4 corvets. I placed such groupd in several sections with active pirates.
From time to time, they intercepted pirates in their own or neighbour sectors. I ordered them to collect defeated pirate's items afther a fight. After that the group returned to their sector to patrol.
About 21 playing hours ago, my reputation with MIN began to constantly reduce. Finnaly, I got the problem: my pantol group's ships contain illegal items! I neither took collected items from captains nor ordered them to unload them on a base. So, thei flew in MIN's sector with illegal items. From time to tile MIN patrol scaned them, found the illegal items and attacked. 4 corvets killed MIN patrol quickly with no casulaties. So, I didn't have a change to get that my ships is being attacked.

So, if your reputation with any fraction is being reduced with no reasom, make sure that all your captains in that fraction's sectors don't have illegal goods.

I think it is on the egosoft forum.
The devs of X4 have rewritten a lot of the scripts related to scrapping and will test/implement them in the 7.0 version.

You are correct, this issue is on our scopes now.

I have one scrap station which gets this issue constantly, teleprting into the station and waiting a bit will fix it but the issue will come back when I'm out of sector. Another scrap station with the same components (also 2 of the first tier scrap module, full set of solar cells to run the full cycle) has no issues at all.

One visible difference between the 2 stations is that the station with issues is mostly suplied by natural scrap, the manticores will be towing in mostly scrap just labeled 'wreck'. Meanwhile the station without issues is in a sector that has a wharf where I sell to competing factions, and no natural scrap. So manticores are only bringing in actual wrecked ships. (note: the station without issues will sometimes still have one of the 2 processors being inactive with multiple manticores queing for the busy one, but they won't get stuck, it's just a slight bit of efficiency loss that I'm not that concerned with, the station still keeps running and producing without any of my input. the station with issues will completely stop producing anything untill I teleport in.)

However, I think I did not use a template from 1 for the other (although not sure), so maybe the layout of the solar panels is confusing the manticores on one station but not on the other.

I get best results though with a small scrap gathering station with just one of the wreck>scrap metal modules(+supporting solar panels), then 2-3 use m-mineral miners on repeat orders per scrap gathering station to bring the produced scrap metal to one big recycling plant.

If you have multiple scrap processors and don't mind using a mod... "v1024_scrap_coord" ie. scrap coordinator, is an extension that makes multiple manticores use all existing scrap processors.
